Rendition Homes is a proud supporter of Operation Flinders, because we believe every child deserves a bright future. Operation Flinders exists to transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in South Australia through remote outback adventure programs such as Step Out.
Step Out involves a 100km trek (that’s right, 100kms!) over 8 days that includes abseiling, Indigenous culture, bushcraft and navigation. Every child is challenged both physically and emotionally throughout the journey and guided by trained volunteers who support them to tackle each challenge and to reflect on their experiences.
Over the years the program has seen life changing positive impact on the children who develop a newfound respect and belief in resilience and self-confidence, connection with others, and most importantly, a sense of purpose.
